“Whose Line” Meets “American Idol”
“Gotcha Covered” was a no-holds-barred vocal competition and music comedy show. Four contestants competed in a four-week voice contest, singing their best cover songs based on weekly themes and challenges. They climbed through the ranks — determined by weekly audience voting — with one emerging as the season's winner. In addition to the featured vocalists, there was a professional musical improv ensemble on hand. They entertained viewers with improvised songs born from audience suggestions. Audience members themselves could volunteer to get up and sing as well!
Oliver co-developed, produced, and hosted “Gotcha Covered” for 4 seasons culminating in a grand All-Star competition.
